2012 Brookhaven Season
To All Players and Season Pass Holders:
Welcome to the 2012 Golf Season and the 50th Anniversary of Brookhaven. We can not wait to get this season underway and we bet you feel the same way. We are planning special activities to celebrate this 50 year milestone so be on the look out for more information.
Before closing up for the Winter, we were able to continue making improvements at the course. Our Maintenance Facility got a new roof and it’s interior working space was doubled. This will allow Chris Baker, our Course Manager, to continue working his miracles with much better working conditions. Drainage was added to Vista – #12 and the tee box on Waterloo – #6, was moved and the surrounding area will be drained and opened us as soon as possible. The upper parking lot was completed and tree trimming continued through the course. Kate Boyce is returning and anxious to open the restaurant. If the season goes as we expect, we hope to complete a new handicapped accessible bathroom upstairs and make improvements to the deck area.
The Tee-It-Up reservations system will be up and running when we open. You will be able to book tee times 24/7 online at brookhavengolfclub.com or teeitup.com. We believe you will find this a positive addition to the Brookhaven experience.
Some great news for Ben but sad news for all of us that have enjoyed Ben’s big smile and help at Brookhaven. Ben has decided to return to college and seek a teaching degree following in his mother’s footsteps. We all know what a great teacher he will be and loosing him will be a great loss to Brookhaven. I know we all wish him well and Ben wishes to thank the O.B. Beyer Board and the Town of Greenfield for the opportunity to work with and get to know all of us.
Ben, we will miss you! Remember, keep your head down and follow thru.
Spring is just around the corner so polish up the shoes, dust off the clubs and season pass holders, PLEASE remember to send in any balance you may have by March 1st.
